McCarthy, who will assume his duties later this month, left positions as head golf coach and assistant men’s basketball coach at Division III Keuka College to join Northampton CC.

McCarthy went on to earn a master’s degree in administration and supervision at D-III Frostburg State, where he assisted the men’s basketball program and the athletics department as a graduate assistant from 2011-2013.

As the assistant AD for internal operations at Northampton, McCarthy will oversee the facilities, operations and events unit, the equipment room and summer camps.

McCarthy’s father is 2012 NJCAA Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Kevin McCarthy, the former director of athletics and men’s basketball head coach at SUNY Cobleskill. His uncle, Joe McCarthy, is the Fighting Tigers’ head golf coach for men and women.
