SUNY Cobleskill BBA Students Celebrate Achievements at Rockland Community College

Eighteen SUNY Cobleskill students are earning their Bachelor of Business Administration degrees at Rockland Community College this semester, all while working or completing internships in their fields. The students, most of whom will not be able to attend Commencement at SUNY Cobleskill, presented their internship experiences and celebrated at a graduation reception held by the SUNY Cobleskill Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) Office at the Rockland campus last week.

The 18 students graduating this semester are currently employed or have internships in hospitality, banking and finance, family business, not-for-profit organizations, and sales. During their internships, they were able to apply their education in a hands-on environment and grow professionally.

One of the students, Shoshana Shaw, earned the highest GPA from SUNY Cobleskill’s Business Administration Program. She was presented with an Academic Achievement award at the ceremony last week.

“I wish I could bottle up the excitement and energy these students have for SUNY Cobleskill, the pride they have as soon-to-be alumni, and their appreciation for the opportunities the College has provided,” said Melissa Struckle, Assistant Director of PACE. “We really are making a difference in so many lives.”

SUNY Cobleskill offers continuing education programs at Rockland Community College as well as Jefferson Community College and Hudson Valley Community College for students who are geographically limited by work, family, or other circumstances, but want to take advantage of a SUNY Cobleskill education. The Bachelor of Business Administration program at RCC is designed for working adults with an Associate Degree who want to advance their careers, change professions, or complete their education while working and/or raising a family.
