SUNY Cobleskill Junior Morganne Dick was named NCAA Division III National Women’s Player of the Week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for her performance during the week of October 17 through October 23. She was among two NCAA Division I players, two NCAA Division II players, and two NCAA Division III players to receive Player of the Week honors.
The junior forward from Johnstown led the SUNY Cobleskill team to two major wins this past week, tallying an impressive 12 points for herself. She recorded a first-half hat trick before going on to assist on the fourth goal during the Fighting Tigers 13-0 blanking of the College of St. Joseph (VT). She then went on to record two more goals and a game-winning assist during SUNY Cobleskill’s 5-3 conference win over Gallaudet University. Morganne is now third in the conference in goals (15) and fifth in points (32) for the Fighting Tigers.
“I am so proud of Morganne’s accomplishments and this most recent recognition underscores the credit she deserves,” said SUNY Cobleskill President Marion Terenzio. “This national-level acknowledgement from coaches speaks to her skills, leadership and all-round athletic talent. Congratulations.”
