Dr. Patricia Nicelli Piatov joined the SUNY Cobleskill faculty as Assistant Professor in 2017 and teaches marketing, consumer behavior, entrepreneurship, retailing, and business communication. She has served as an instructor and chair of the Information Technology Department at Jamestown Business College, and as instructor at Edinburg University of Pennsylvania and the State University of New York at Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center. She has consulting experience with Afloral.com, Vision Care Center, and Mental_Floss magazine’s ecommerce group, and was a regional Business Development Coordinator at Centimark corporation.
Dr. Nicelli Piatov currently serves as faculty advisor for the Business and Careers Club and assists the competitive timber sports Woodsmen’s Club. She volunteers extensively with the Eastern New York region of the American Red Cross as both a Disaster Action Team Supervisor for Schoharie County and member of the On-Call Disaster Public Relations teams based in Albany.
Her publications include “Strategy Tools and The Kyoto Protocol’s Flexible Development Mechanisms,” in the Journal of Competitiveness Studies in 2013. She presented “Fair trade: An overview and propositions for firm- and consumer-level research,” at the 2009 Academy of International Business annual conference. In 2019, she was invited to participate in the “Service & Retail Management Think Tank 2030” held at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. She additionally presented the in-progress work “The Effect of Trade Wars on Supply Chain Re-Organization,” at the 2019 conference of the American Society for Competitiveness in Washington, DC.
As a member of a 10-person crew, Dr. Piatov summers in Western NY, competing in the Buffalo Harbor Sailing Club racing program.
