SUNY Cobleskill was the first and only college I applied to while I was in high-school. When I applied to college, I chose Graphic Design as my major since I wanted to be a scrapbook designer. I always tell students that once I arrived on campus I knew this was the school I wanted to go to. I immediately felt at home.
Fast forward 3 years and I am still me, but I switched my major and grew as a person along the way. After spending a year in the Graphic Design program, I switched to Agricultural Business Management since I always have had a passion for knitting and fiber. I realized early on in my time at college that I wanted to make textiles a career. I still enjoy scrapbooking on the side, but I didn’t want scrapbooking to be my main focus.
For fall 2018, I will be heading to Florence, Italy to study fashion and design. At SUNY Cobleskill, I have had the opportunity to take classes in graphic design, communications, animal science, and agricultural business. I am so glad that I chose to take in classes in a variety of departments at SUNY Cobleskill, since I was able to step out and do things that are outside my comfort zone.2018-03-19
