MORRISTOWN — Morristown native Timothy P. Moore has been presented the national Sports Turf Managers Association’s highest honor, the Harry C. Gill Memorial Award. Moore, now based in Columbia, Maryland, is Vice President of Grounds Management for GCA Services, an ABM Company. He provides overall management of the $30 million operation overseeing grounds accounts, including the sports fields, for university, school and corporate facilities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

Sports Turf Managers Association is the non-profit, professional association for men and women who manage sports fields worldwide.

The Harry C. Gill Memorial Award was established to honor an individual for their significant contributions to the sports turf profession and to acknowledge their dedication to the Sports Turf Managers Association. It was named for Harry C. Gill, one of the association’s four founders.
