Ashley Young ’17 Latest to Join Soil and Water Conservation District

Young joins Soil and Water Conservation District

ALBANY COUNTY — Ashley Young has joined the Albany County Soil and Water Conservation District as its new district technician.

“Ashley brings with her excitement, and persistence to get conservation projects on the ground. She enjoys aiding and assisting landowners with a variety of resource concerns, and doing extensive research on what she does not know,” the district said in a release announcing Young’s appointment.

Raised in Gloversville, she had the Adirondacks at her back door growing up. Her knack for nature and exploration helped pique her interest into the plant-science bachelor’s deggree program at the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill where she completed her bachelor of technology degree in December 2017.
