SUNY Cobleskill has expanded its offering of workshops and certification courses to help students of all ages and backgrounds hone their skills, start new careers, and expand professional opportunities.
PATH International Certification
The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Registered Instructor Workshop is offered on-site at SUNY Cobleskill. Attendance at this workshop is a prerequisite to attain PATH Intl. Registered Instructor certification.
At the Paramedic Program’s Annual Winter Symposium at SUNY Cobleskill, EMS providers earn up to seven hours of Continuing Medical Education credits and certificates in classes and hands-on workshops.
SUNY Cobleskill offers the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training Course, which covers the basics of construction safety standards and practices. Successful participants receive an OSHA 10-Hour Card.
Amazon AWS Architecture Certification
This 12-week course provides students the technical expertise and base-level AWS proficiency many employers seek in skilled cloud professionals. This course is prerequisite to achieving AWS Specialty Certification.
Produce Safety Alliance Grower Safety Certificate
The Produce Safety Alliance, in collaboration with Cornell University, trains fruit and vegetable growers in produce safety, land use, and post-harvest handling. After the course, participants may receive a certificate from the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) verifying completion.
TiPS® Bartender Certification
SUNY Cobleskill offers the five-hour TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) Certification course required by NY State for anyone wishing to become a professional bartender. The course covers responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol.
Fiber Sorting, Grading, & Classing Certificate
Designed to help natural fiber producers access new market opportunities, this workshop series opens the door to earning a “Sorting, Grading & Classing” certificate through a partnership with SGC.
ServSafe Food Handler Certification
The National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe Food Handler Certification, available at SUNY Cobleskill, teaches basic safety practices for serving and preparing food. It is required for most food service professionals.
PQS Plus Certification
Pork Quality Assurance Plus is an educational program designed by agricultural and veterinary experts to ensure proper swine handling procedures and manufacturing safety. At SUNY Cobleskill the program represents the needs of members of New York Pork Producers Cooperative.
