The Wellness Center provides individualized mental health counseling, health-care, and health-education for students in accordance with their schedules, as well as their academic and social needs.
The Wellness Center partners with the American College Health Association (ACHA) to assess student-needs by administering “Needs Assessment and Patient Satisfaction” surveys. Additionally, the Wellness Center implements EVERFI – a national educational program for the prevention of sexual violence and substance use.
The Wellness Center collaborates with Sexual Assault Support of Schoharie County, Schoharie County Chemical Dependency Clinic, and Schoharie County Community Mental Health Center to provide services.
Wellness Center staff serve on committees including Schoharie County Suicide Prevention Task Force, Schoharie County Opiate Task Force Coalition, Schoharie County Mental Health Task Force, and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) subcommittee.
The Wellness Center partners with SUNY Upstate Medical Center to provide tele-counseling and tele-psychiatry services. The Wellness Center is also a state-registered Naloxone provider.
