Campus Presents a Special Performance of The Script

SUNY Cobleskill welcomes The Script, an educational one-man show about Sexual Assault Prevention and Bystander Empowerment. Sponsored by the SUNY Cobleskill Beard Wellness Center, this performance will take place on January 27th at 7:00 pm, in Bouck Auditorium. There is no admission fee for this event and it is open to the public.

Created in conjunction with the St. Louis Regional Sexual Assault Center, The Script depicts four college students confronted by an incident of sexual violence when a mutual friend has been sexually assaulted at an on-campus party. An in-depth examination of “Rape Culture,” The Script is a powerful drama that invites audiences to examine the language, media and attitudes that create an environment where violence against women is acceptable and normal. Upon its conclusion, viewers will walk away understanding better ways in which to be an empowered bystander and work to prevent and end violence on-campus and throughout their communities.
