SUNY Cobleskill is proud to have had four of its culinary students represent the College and Schoharie County Farms at the New York State Farm Bureau’s 2015 Legislative Reception. The event, which took place on March 2, 2015 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, is an opportunity for Farm Bureau members and New York State officials to meet and enjoy samples of the state’s premium agricultural products. Senator James L. Seward was one of the evening’s several attendees.

Students Lauren Cook, Melissa Gilles, Christian Sanchez and Anne Sainte Juste joined JoAnne Cloughly, Associate Professor of Culinary Arts and Michael Lapi, Visiting Instructor of Culinary Arts, in preparing and presenting a state grown specialty meal for guests. The menu included Schoharie County beer braised beef with cowbella yogurt, onion butter, and sprouted lentils.
