SUNY Cobleskill Students Named Finalists in Photographer’s FORUM/Nikon 35th Annual College Photo Contest

By Danielle Sweetser

SUNY Cobleskill is proud to announce that two of our students in the Graphic Design Technology program, Ann Kielbasa and Connor Rose, were chosen as finalists in the Photographer’s FORUM/Nikon 35th Annual College Photo Contest. Their submissions will be featured in the “Best of College and High School Photography 2015” publication.

Kielbasa and Rose were encouraged by Mr. Greg Miller, Visiting Instructor of Liberal Studies at SUNY Cobleskill, to enter the contest. His assistance in helping both students choose their photo submission was highly beneficial.

“Choosing a photo was no easy task,” Kielbasa stated about the selection process. “I wanted something that would stand out from the rest of the contestant entries. So I chose a photo that stood out from my portfolio.”

Rose’s appreciation for instructor Greg Miller’s guidance was especially prominent, “my inspiration behind entering this contest was ultimately the good faith my Digital Imaging teacher bestowed in me and believed in the work I created.”

Photographer’s FORUM magazine is an award-winning quarterly publication dedicated to quality reproduction of photography in the United States and Canada. Each issue strives to facilitate communication and publication experience among emerging professionals.
