SUNY Cobleskill sophomore sprinter Winston Lee became the first Cobleskill student-athlete to win a NCAA Individual Championship, with a time of 6.73 at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Roanoke College at the JBL Fast Track.

Lee was seeded first in the championship heat after winning his preliminary heat on Friday afternoon with a time of 6.73 seconds. The victory extended his winning streak to 14 consecutive races, primaries and finals, in the 60-meter dash this season. With this win Lee earns NCAA All-American honors for the second consecutive year, having placed fifth overall in the event in 2014 with a time of 6.81 seconds.

With Lee’s performance, the Fighting Tigers posted a team total of 10 points. This score placed Cobleskill in tie for 17th place. 72 teams altogether were represented at the men’s championship.
