On Sunday September 20th, SUNY Cobleskill officially dedicated its newly renovated Soccer/Lacrosse Complex with a formal ceremony led by Cobleskill President Dr. Marion Terenzio,
In her dedication address, Dr. Terenzio called it a great day for Fighting Tiger student-athletes and the college as the institution moves into its second century this year. She then, with the help of team captains from the men’s lacrosse, women’s soccer and men’s soccer teams, cut the ceremonial ribbon dedicating the facility prior to kick-off of the soccer teams’ North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC).
Local recording artists “Night Train” were the musical entertainment for the dedication ceremony which featured free food, shooting contests and give-aways to fans in attendance.
The project’s structural facility work was completed under the direction of Lamont Engineers of Cobleskill, N.Y. while the playing field portion of the project was done by the Clark Companies of Delhi, N.Y.
The renovated facility includes a state-of-the-art natural turf playing field, new bleacher seating including a press box, permanent fencing surrounding the field as well as a newly constructed brick entrance.
Admission to all Fighting Tigers regular season home games is free of charge to the public.
