SUNY Cobleskill biotech students attend Northeast Regional American Society of Plant Biologists (NEASPB)

Four SUNY Cobleskill biotech students attended the Northeastern Section of the American Society of Plant Biology at Ithaca College on Saturday, April 23, 2016.  The conference participants were primarily graduate and post-doctoral researchers, however, our students were well received. The SUNY Cobleskill students each presented a poster, representing their research in the fields of biotechnology, including genetic engineering in soybean and switchgrass, the development of hop identification and genotyping, and coffee chemical profiling. Clara Richardson, Sophie LaRochelle, Corey Johnson and Ying Li represented fifteen junior and senior students currently involved in undergraduate research under the tutelage of Drs. Zeng and McMaster-Schuyler, professors at SUNY Cobleskill.
