SUNY Cobleskill police earn state accreditation

from the Daily Star on 6/8/16 – SUNY Cobleskill’s University Police Department has been accredited by the state Law Enforcement Accreditation Council, making it one of just 12 SUNY police agencies with the designation.

Meeting the required 133 rigorous standards and achieving accreditation is “no simple task,” according to SUNY University Police Commissioner Paul Berger.

“Only a small percentage across the entire state police force have done so thus far,” said Berger, who applauded Frank J. Lawrence, chief of university police and director of emergency management at the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill.
