The 30th Annual SUNY Cobleskill Foundation Golf Tournament raised just over $14,000 in net proceeds on Friday, June 17, at the Cobleskill Golf and Country Club. The proceeds support scholarships, academic programs, and Fighting Tigers sports.
Participants enjoyed a relaxing day of camaraderie and challenging golf as they supported the SUNY Cobleskill Foundation. Eighty percent of the proceeds this year was committed to supporting campus initiatives including scholarships and academic programs for faculty, staff, and students. The other 20 percent was committed to supporting the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers.
The winning Low Gross foursome was Steve Harris, Chris Schline, Ben Sequeira, and Art Wallace, followed by the foursome of Doug Johnston, Lee Miller, Bob Suwinski, Paul Trendell. The first-place Low Net foursome was Gerald Hisert, Mike Izzo, Bob Taylor, and Kyle Tuttle, followed in second place by Mary MacKrell, Jeff O’Brien, John Scarano, and Anthony Zumbolo.
In other competitions, the Orange Ball Competition was won by Gerald Hisert, Mike Izzo, Bob Taylor, and Kyle Tuttle. The Longest Drive on Hole 7 went to Ben Sequeira and Mary MacKrell. Rich Myers took the title of Closest to the Pin on Hole 2, while Peter Sweetser was Closest to the Pin on Hole 14. Chris Schline won the Skins competition. Steve Harris and Mike Izzo topped the Putting Contest.
