The SUNY Cobleskill Paramedic Program completed its first course on the Fulton-Montgomery Community College campus this spring, placing seven newly certified EMS providers into the community.
The Emergency Medical Technician – Original course, taught under the auspices of the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of EMS, was led by Paramedic Certified Instructor Coordinator Benjamin Seymour. Participants achieved a 100 percent pass rate on their New York State EMT written examinations in May.
The success of this expansion of SUNY Cobleskill’s Paramedic Program to the FMCC campus has led FMCC to renew the contract for EMS education for the Fall 2016 semester. They plan to offer both EMT-Original and EMT-Refresher courses at FMCC on Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m., starting in late August.
