Campus Welcomes New UPD Officer LoPiano

SUNY Cobleskill is pleased to welcome its newest member of the SUNY Cobleskill University Police Department, Officer Christopher LoPiano. To serve and protect the campus and its community to the very best of his ability, Officer LoPiano took an oath of honor on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Dr. Marion Terenzio, President of SUNY Cobleskill, presided at the ceremony.


Officer LoPiano attended St. John Fisher College graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Management. He also holds an Advanced Graduate Certificate from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Service Leadership and Innovation. Before joining SUNY Cobleskill UPD, LoPiano held positions at Nazareth College, RIT and the University of Rochester, as well as serving as a police officer in Norfolk, VA. He is fluent in American Sign Language and is a certified Red Cross instructor.
