Culinary Student Named Runner-Up in Grill Games at SPAC

SUNY Cobleskill Culinary student Linda Blesser was the runner-up in the Times Union’s fourth annual Grill Games finale at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Thursday.

“In a testament to her culinary education,” wrote the Times Union’s Steve Barnes, “[Blesser] showed accomplished skills in organization, prep and grilling — and in getting flavors just right.”

Blesser prepared chicken teriyaki with summer vegetable kebab.

“Although I didn’t win, I am happy that I entered this competition,” Blesser said. “It allowed me to hone my grilling skills and it gave me the confidence to enter future competitions.”
