SUNY Cobleskill Lauded Again for Commitment to Veterans

from the Daily Star on 11/10/16 – If a recent ranking is any indication, the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill is one of the best colleges for student veterans.

The school was recently named to Military Times’ “Best for Vets: Colleges 2017″ list for the second consecutive year, according to a media release. The distinction recognizes SUNY Cobleskill for its commitment to educating and providing opportunities for veterans, service members and families.

A day-long celebration of veterans Thursday at SUNY Cobleskill is one example of the school’s commitment, officials said. A veterans resource fair will take place on-campus from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Bouck Ballroom, with information on starting a small business, health care, banking and benefits. And a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m., which will be free for vets, will raise funds for a new student veteran scholarship.
