The SUNY Cobleskill Paramedic Program will host its annual Winter Symposium for EMS professionals on January 7, 2017. The symposium is a unique opportunity for EMS professionals from around the region and beyond to keep their skills sharp, hear from leading experts in the field, and earn continuing education credits.
Participants will spend the day in workshops and presentations relevant to today’s EMS careers, from neuro anatomy and ethics to drug overdoses and mental health for EMS workers. This year’s keynote speaker is Connie Mattera, M.S., R.N., TNS, EMT-P, EMS Administrative Director, System Coordinator, and Trauma Nurse Specialist Course Coordinator for Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Back by popular demand, Mattera will speak about Neuro Anatomy and Physiology.
Participants who attend for the full day will earn eight CME credits and be issued a certificate at the end of the symposium. The $70 registration fee includes five workshops, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
