The SUNY Cobleskill B.B.A. is designed for students who are completing or have already completed Hudson Valley’s A.A.S. degree in Business Administration, and it offers seamless transfer into the Cobleskill program. Other students who have completed all or part of a Business-related associate degree are also encouraged to explore the program. The majority of courses will be offered in 8-week sessions during the evenings, with some courses offered online. The program is ideal for students who want to earn their degree while maintaining work, family, or other commitments. Students must have at least a 2.25 GPA to be accepted into the program, and financial aid is available.
“We welcome this partnership with SUNY Cobleskill, and it will help our students complete their academic goals in a timely and convenient way,” said Hudson Valley President Drew Matonak. “This agreement also highlights our commitment to the SUNY Transfer Pathway.”
“SUNY Cobleskill is proud to expand its partnership with Hudson Valley to include offering the Bachelor of Business Administration program on the Hudson Valley campus,” said Susan Zimmermann, Provost/VP Academic Affairs at Cobleskill. “Together, we are continuing to increase access to high quality education for students in the Capital Region.”
The agreement is similar to partnerships the college already has with Cobleskill for its B.S. in Early Childhood Studies, as well as SUNY Plattsburgh for its B.S. in Criminal Justice and Cazenovia College for its B.S. in Human Services. The agreements, between Hudson Valley and four-year institutions, are a way for Capital Region students to achieve a bachelor’s degree in a specialized field without leaving the area. These programs are coordinated through the college’s Center for Advanced Studies, whose goal is to build partnerships with four-year institutions that allow students to continue their education in the Capital Region.
SUNY Cobleskill will hold an information session about the program on Tuesday, April 4, from 4-6:30 p.m. in Brahan Hall, room 208, on the main Hudson Valley campus. More information about the new agreement can be found at www.cobleskill.edu/hvcc.
