Graphic Design Students Impress at Senior Show

Ten Graphic Design Technology seniors presented the culmination of two semesters of meticulous work and creative talent in the 2017 Senior Show last week.

Exhibited in the Grosvenor Art Gallery, the 6th Annual Senior Show displayed the final works of Sarah Dancer, Ashlea Egner, Shenyce Jackson, Cameron Kilpatrick, Megan Krisowaty, Syed Murtaza Mansoor, Ryan Rapp, Chelsea Valentine, Quinnell Williams, and Danielle Woodbeck.

The projects involved a complete visual branding exercise in which students conceived of a product — ranging from a food truck to educational materials and a clothing line — and built a brand based on market research and their four years of Graphic Design education. The projects involved various materials like business cards, signage, packaging, books, and much more, all produced right in SUNY Cobleskill’s design center. In addition to the visual design work, students had to build a website from the ground up to support their product or business.

Each student tracked and presented the design process in a project book, itself an impressive work of graphic design.
