SUNY Cobleskill is offering six fun and educational camps for elementary through high school students this summer. The camps, ranging from STEM experiences to basketball, kick off June 26 and run through August 4.
Farm-to-Plate Camp will provide a week-long, intensive educational experience focused on the farm-to-table process. From hands-on animal and plant science activities to fun with food science, marketing, and culinary arts, campers will learn in the College’s state-of-the-art farm and food facilities. The businesses and processes used to deliver food from the farm to the plate will be explored in depth with a focus on the ways in which food system design touches every part of our lives. The camp is offered in three sections — grades 2-5, grades 6-8 and grades 9-12 — beginning June 26.
STEM Camp: Secret Agents will teach science, technology, engineering, and math with fun, hands-on activities for students from grades 2 through 7. The weeklong camp runs twice beginning July 10.
3D Printing & Design Camp is a week-long experience focused on Computer Aided Design, 3D printing, measurement and the design process for grades 7 through 10. campers will learn basic CAD drafting skills, design and 3D print their own original creations, design and 3D print objects for group projects and challenges, and learn basic circuit and electric building skills. The camp runs from July 31 to August 4.
Boys Basketball Camp runs from June 26 through June 30, offering skills development, games, swimming, and more with coaching from members of the College’s men’s basketball team. It’s open to children in grades 3 through 8.
Girls Basketball Camp begins July 17 and ends July 21 for children from age 8 to 17. Campers will practice drills, skills, team-building exercises and more with members of the women’s basketball team.
The Tiger Tails Activity Camp for ages 6 to 13 runs from July 24 through July 28. The day camp will offer wiffle ball, soccer, archery, swimming, arts, and an array of other fun activities.
