SUNY Cobleskill Celebrates Education, Agriculture and Food at 2017 New York State Fair

SUNY Cobleskill is proud to once again join the New York State Fair from Aug. 23 through Sept. 4 to introduce visitors to the College’s diverse, hands-on academic programs. Representatives from the College will be on hand throughout the fair to talk with visitors and answer questions.

Widely recognized as a leader in agricultural education, SUNY Cobleskill is also one of the state’s top schools for culinary arts. Its contiguous farm, award-winning dairy herd, 40,000-gallon cold-water fish hatchery, state-of-the-art greenhouses and innovative academic programs make it the perfect place to learn every aspect of sustainable, farm-to-table food production.

SUNY Cobleskill is a premier destination for applied learning, recently leading the SUNY system in establishing the first formal applied learning graduation requirement. Its pioneering new degree programs in fermentation science, therapeutic horsemanship, and food systems are preparing graduates for the careers of tomorrow. With its new Institute for Rural Vitality, it is placing students at the center of transformative change throughout the region.
