H&V Collision Center teamed up with GEICO to provide three cars to three deserving veterans — all with connections to SUNY Cobleskill — during a recent Tri-City ValleyCats game.
“All of us at H&V Collision Center, GEICO and other partners recognize the enormous service by our veterans and their families,” said H&V’s Vartan Jerian Jr. “H&V is proud to be able to join with our partners for this important donation to help three veterans following their service to our country. These donations show our veterans that their service is appreciated, respected and remembered.”
The cars were presented to Jonathan Cuney, a current SUNY Cobleskill student, Todd Cruise, a prospective student, and James Cartier, an alumnus. They were all nominated by SUNY Cobleskill Director of Veterans Affairs Matthew LaLonde, who spoke at the award ceremony.
“It is my strong belief that it is all of our responsibility, and our duty, to do all that we can to serve those who have served for us,” LaLonde said. “It was a truly fulfilling and heartwarming experience to be a part of this special event that brought attention to the outstanding service of our fellow veterans and provided a positive resource that might assist them in their lives.”
