SUNY Cobleskill welcomes alumni, students, family and friends to campus to celebrate Coby pride at the College’s 99th Homecoming & Family Weekend October 13-15. The family-friendly weekend will offer a chance for old friends to reconnect and reminisce as well as an opportunity for the broader community to explore the SUNY Cobleskill campus and celebrate the rich history of the College.

The festivities will kick off with the 6th Annual Culinary Extravaganza Friday evening, featuring the talents of 18 celebrity, alumni, and faculty chefs working with Culinary Arts students to prepare unique dishes with fresh local ingredients. The event will be led by honorary chair Kathleen King, founder of the renowned Tate’s Bake Shop on Long Island. Proceeds will benefit academic success at SUNY Cobleskill, with 50 percent dedicated to the Culinary Arts program.

Saturday will offer a variety of activities throughout the day that are free and open to the public, including an antique tractor and engine show, tractor tours of campus, a family fun fair, demonstrations by the SUNY Cobleskill Woodsmen Team, a farmers’ market, soccer games, and more. The evening will be capped with a Homecoming Parade and Fireworks Show at dusk. The parade will step off at 6:30 p.m. from the Cobleskill Fairgrounds, follow S. Grand Street to Main Street, then march down Main Street to MacArthur Avenue before ending on the SUNY Cobleskill campus.

The weekend will wrap up on Sunday with a baseball scrimmage and an alumni lacrosse game.

Reservations are required for the Culinary Extravaganza and Alumni Awards Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Saturday evening. Those planning to attend the Alumni Mixer Saturday night at the Bull’s Head Inn are encouraged to make reservations.
