SUNY Cobleskill Moves Up in U.S. News & World Report College Rankings for 2019

U.S. News & World Report has once again ranked SUNY Cobleskill a top regional college. In its 2019 “Best Colleges Rankings” the Report lists SUNY Cobleskill as its number 14 regional college in the north, moving the College up three spots from its 2018 position.

College rankings are based on data including first-year student retention, tuition cost, graduation rate, and peer assessment scores. In moving from number 17 in the 2018 rankings to number 14 in 2019, among those included in this year’s top 20 SUNY Cobleskill improves its position more than all but one other college.

“SUNY Cobleskill is a community of dedicated learners who continue to elevate our College to a level of all-around excellence,” says President Marion A. Terenzio. “We are proud of our ability to provide quality education and to prepare our students to design the future.”

Of 47 regional colleges in the north graded this year, SUNY Cobleskill improves its rating among public colleges, colleges in NY, and colleges in the SUNY/CUNY system. SUNY Cobleskill is also included as a “Best Value School” in a separate list of top regional colleges in the north.

On its “Best Colleges for Veterans” list, U.S. News & World Report ranks SUNY Cobleskill its eighth-best regional college in the north. SUNY Cobleskill ranked number 11 last year and moves into the top five regional public colleges for veterans in the north. See how we did on our College page at, and see coverage at
