In November’s edition of her monthly blog, President Terenzio took on the subject of “paying it forward” – with the help of some Coby students. This week, sophomore Cheyanne Matulewich took paying it forward to another level. In speaking at the graduation ceremony for a Berkshire Farm Center life-skills course available to students living in foster care, Cheyanne spoke to the graduating class on independence, as well as her own upbringing in foster care. Cheyanne has ascended to the Student Government Association Presidency here at SUNY Cobleskill, though she says regardless the size and reach of her platform, she has always sought to pay it forward and advocate for youth in care today.
Thank you, Cheyanne, for your commitment to paying it forward and giving back!
