What’s the Rush?

SUNY Cobleskill Greek Life Holding “Greek Week” Sept. 9 – 13

For the first time since earning official recognition in May, SUNY Cobleskill Greek Life is preparing to host Greek Week. All six of SUNY Cobleskill’s lettered organizations will be heavily involved, hosting campus-wide events throughout the week of the ninth. Events range from social, to educational, to flat-out entertaining, and are aimed at attracting new members.

The week is one of anticipated growth for members of SUNY Cobleskill’s Greek community. Recruiting new members is integral to expanding established chapters, including those that are members of national organizations, and chapters specific to SUNY Cobleskill.

The week will also yield valuable information for the campus’s All-Greek Council. The Council is creating a comprehensive outline for Greek growth this year, that includes detailed community and volunteer service plans, as well as events and programming. Members of Greek organizations at SUNY Cobleskill gave more than 3,000 service hours to local initiatives last year, and SUNY Cobleskill Student Life awarded members of Greek Life seven individual Student Leadership Awards.

Information about Greek Life at SUNY Cobleskill is available on our website. Be sure to follow our organizations on social media (channels in operation are below) throughout the week, and in the days leading up to September 9. The College will also be sharing information, previews, and photography.
