Cobleskill, NY – Through virtual venues, SUNY Cobleskill will present awards and honors to the 2020 graduating class, highlighting achievements normally recognized at this time of year. More significantly, SUNY Cobleskill will honor the graduates’ spirit, resilience, and fortitude, as testimonials to the possibilities yet to be achieved. These celebrations are different, not only in format, but in the message. On May 9th at 11 am, President Terenzio, along with Provost Zimmermann, will virtually confer diplomas, followed by a brief speech. The title of President Terenzio’s message is “Redefining What If.” The in-person Commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 4th at 11 am.
“We believe in our students, and as we set them forth into a new normal, we remind them that when the world slows, we need people who don’t,” said President Terenzio. “Please join the Cobleskill community in witnessing these historic events and assist us in our virtual send-offs. All graduating students deserve our collective attention and well wishes.”
Leading up to the May 9th celebration, the kick-off presentations begin on Wednesday, May 6th, including Tributes to Senior Athletes, the annual Graphic Design Senior Show, and numerous Student Leadership Awards. The complete schedule of events can be found on the College’s website.
