American Sign Language:

Earners will learn to effectively communicate with people who are deaf. History, and assistive devices will be explored. Learners will be able to recite basic ASL vocabulary and basic grammar for beginner level communication. They will be able to communicate about personal information, their surroundings, provide directions, and incorporate facial expressions. They will learn the ASL alphabet (fingerspelling) and sign language numbers.

  • AMSL 145 American Sign Language I – 3 credits. Receive a “C” or better in this course.
AMSL 146 American Sign Language II – 3 credits. Receive a “C” or better in this course.
